Carla Corkin MSAOM is a licensed acupuncturist with extensive experience in treating musculoskeletal, neurological, and chronic pain conditions. She uses a variety of Acupuncture techniques gathered from a wide range of international integrative medicine teachers and practitioners to provide a unique and effective treatment experience. Carla provides Acupuncture and associated treatments in our Jackson NJ office.
Since starting the practice of acupuncture in 2009, Carla has applied her biomedical training and experience as a nurse in England, working in hospitals and private practice conditions at the Zhejiang International Teaching College in Huang Zhou, China, and throughout upstate New York to combine eastern philosophy and ancient techniques with modern evidence-based acupuncture practice.
Carla holds a Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and a Bachelors' of Professional Studies (with a major in Life Sciences) from the Fingerlakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at New York Chiropractic College. Carla is a Member of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the American Acupuncture Council. Carla was born on the southern coast of England where she developed a passion for healing with natural medicines and has traveled to many countries gaining an appreciation of the natural world. She now lives with her Husband and two children in Brick, NJ and likes to spend her time pottering with her plants and reading.
