Michael Ra, DO
Michael Ra is an ACGME fellowship-trained interventional pain medicine physician who is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. His clinical interests include interventional pain medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, rehabilitation, electrodiagnostics, and non-surgical means to orthopedics issues.
Prior to his medical endeavors, Dr. Ra received his Master in Physical Therapy from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. This training and experience has been invaluable at allowing him to practice an integrative and comprehensive approach to medicine. Dr. Ra completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rutgers-RWJ-JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute in New Jersey, which is also where he spent an additional year of specialization completing an ACGME accredited Pain Medicine fellowship. During his residency and fellowship, Dr. Ra co-authored the pain medicine and burn chapters in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Board Review 3rd Edition and presented posters at national meetings.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Association of Academic Physiatrists, Spine Intervention Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the New Jersey Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
