Cold Laser Therapy & Healing
Cold Laser Therapy, the use of low-intensity or low levels of laser light is used to help relieve inflammation and pain caused by a wide range of circumstances. From inflammation caused by burns, nerve, and spinal injuries to pain and wounds caused sports injuries — we can help sufferers feel better.
In 1967 Endre Mester, a pioneer of laser medicine, discovered that light can be a very strong healing power. Contrary to popular belief, cold laser therapy does not actually use a “cold” laser. It’s called a “cold” laser because it does not cause a temperature change in the body’s tissues that are stimulated in this treatment. The laser penetrates into skin to restore abnormal cellular function. Treatment is painless and non-invasive. There are no series side effects when used properly.
The doctors at NorthEast Spine and Sports Medicine are highly experienced in cold laser therapy, offering some of the best possible care in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Treatment is given in our Jackson, Point Pleasant, Barnegat, Manchester, Aberdeen, Tinton Falls and Lincroft offices.
