Shoulder injuries are caused by making straining repetitive motions that affect the shoulder joint. Specific common causes include: playing sports, cleaning, doing yard work, and lifting heavy objects. Sometimes these activities result in strained tendons or even a dislocated shoulder.
The supporting tendons will usually need care and therapy from a physician in order for them to heal properly and prevent pain in the future.
If you notice that you have trouble with full rotation of your shoulder, stiffness, or a lack of normal strength, you may be experiencing the result of a shoulder injury.
